Gillingham Football Club began life as New Brompton Football Club in 1893, changing its name in 1920. The club went into administration in1995 and was saved from extinction when current chairman Paul Scally took over at the 11th hour.
Since then the club has enjoyed two promotions, two Wembley appearances, passage through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and a business generation programme which has funded three new stands and the club’s impressive conference and banqueting facilities.
